The Ministry of Defense reported that more than 200 marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine left their positions in the DPR without permission.

During hostilities in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), more than 200 soldiers from the 56th Motorized Infantry Brigade (AFU) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refused to carry out combat missions. This was reported to journalists by the official representative of the Ministry of National Defense, Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov.

It is indicated that the Ukrainian marines arbitrarily abandoned their positions in Experienced and Pervomayskoye in the settlement area due to heavy losses.

According to the data of the department, in the third battalion of this brigade, operating in the Marinka district, about 140 soldiers remained out of 580 people.

The ministry also reported the complete seizure of the city of Udy in the Kharkiv region. A day earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported the liberation of the village of Peski to the DPR.
